Realtor at Century 21 Alliance Realty; Member of BPW/Hernando County

I began my professional life working as an office manager for my husband’s OB/GYN practice. I managed the practice for more than 15 years. Those years were also the years during which I raised my four children, Danya, Abraham, Noor, and Khalid. At the same time, I managed to finish my education. I received a Bachelor in Political Science, Masters in Public Administration, and Doctorate in Health Policy.

I worked for five years as an adjunct professor at both the University of South Florida and Saint Leo University. Then I decided to switch gears to stay local. So I took my real estate license and began a career as a realtor with Century 21.

Being an immigrant from Damascus, Syria, and having experienced living on low wages when my husband was doing his medical training inspired me to help others with similar experiences build their lives here in the United States. I am part of a group of Syrian women in Tampa known as “Tampa Women Stars.” Our mission is help underprivileged immigrant women establish themselves. My role in the organization is teaching those women English language skills to prepare them for outside work and interaction with others and teaching them civics courses to prepare them for their citizenship interviews.

I enjoy international traveling to learn about our beautiful world. I also love workout classes and cycling. I cycle regularly on the Suncoast trail. Some of you have seen me on Saturday mornings pedaling up and down the trail.
