Member Spotlight: Amy Miller

Amy has a passion for nonprofits and has spent more than two decades working with Tampa Bay organizations managing them and performing capacity building and fundraising, engaging both patrons and board members to achieve missions. She was part of the team that changed the landscape of the Dali Museum as well as worked with local philanthropist and historian Jim MacDougald on his project, The History Council, whose mission was to tell stories about internationally significant but lesser-known people, place, and events. She has also served organizations such as Drug Free America Foundation, which was founded by Ambassador Mel and Betty Sembler, Operation Par, Inc., Troop Rewards, Selby Gardens, Adoption Related Services of Pinellas, and the Children’s Home Network.

Currently, as President of Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts, she leads the support arm for the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater, which presents culturally diverse performances of all genres and the Class Acts youth program, which introduces the arts to 25,000+ school children annually. Her duties include board development, strategic planning, operations, fundraising and public affairs. She sits on the boards of Rotary of St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Women’s Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of Business and Professional Women (BPW)/St. Petersburg-Pinellas. Amy enjoys living in downtown St. Petersburg near the waterfront where she bikes, kayaks, and fishes – as well as enjoys the many museums, theaters, and arts organizations.
