24 Sep BPW/FL Issues Public Policy Statement
Members want us to get back to educating and advocating on issues of importance to women as they relate to our Public Policy Platform. The recent Texas Law provided cause for concern for working women here in Florida as well, and especially now that a similar Bill has been introduced into the Florida House, HB-167. Based on the recommendation of the Public Policy Committee and approval of a majority of the Board of Directors, the Public Relations Chair and the Public Policy Chair drafted a statement that has been approved by the Executive Committee for release addressing that concern. The statement has been posted on the BPW/FL website on the new Public Policy News page and members are encouraged to distribute it locally and send it to their state legislators.
