2021 BPW/FL Annual Conference Recap

That’s a wrap for the 100th Annual BPW/FL State Conference: We Are Stronger Together! We were true to our mission throughout, whether in person or via Zoom.  Friday featured six BPW/FL Leadership workshops, five workshops relevant to our mission (conflict resolution, unshakeable confidence, finding truth in the news, gender and racial equity, and women in transition) , a keynote on influencing others and presentation of the Glass Ceiling Award to Captain Lee Ann Holroyd.  Saturday morning and afternoon combined Federation and Foundation business meetings that were chock full of meaningful dialogue and informed decision making, while the annual BPW/FL awards recognized local organizations for their yearlong efforts.  Several fundraising activities raised money for BPW/Florida Education Foundation.  Finally, the 2021-22 elected Federation officers were installed.  Executive committee and board of directors meetings bookended the conference on Thursday and Sunday. What an engaged group of women!

We were also pleased to introduce nine conference first-time attendees to the annual state conference experience.

Kudos to 2021 Conference Co-Chairs Sheri McCandless and Jackie Skelton and their planning committee, State Business Manager Tiki Bates, outgoing and incoming Executive Committee members and Board of Directors for making this conference relevant to our mission. It was a springboard for opportunity to make BPW even more vibrant and valuable to our members statewide.

Enjoy these moments from the 2021 State Conference!
