Florida State Senator Gwen Margolis and State Representative Arthenia Joyner, lead sponsors of the ERA ratification resolutions in the Florida Legislature have launched a Web site dedicated to their efforts to pass the resolution.
The First 100 Days, Letter from the BPW Florida President

Dear Members,
While I wish I could boast that I have enhanced the condition of our state’s economy or report a major upswing in our declining BPW Florida membership, which at 726 members represents a loss of 100 members or more since this time last year, I am grateful for a few things as I reflect on the first 100 days in the office of President for the Florida Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. The following report will showcase the accomplishments of an incredible team of members serving on the Executive Committee, the hard work of the Garvin’s Gems Leadership Team, and various individual members of BPW that are always willing to serve when called upon to do so.
While putting in hours often times that exceed the hours worked on my demanding paid job as the Chief Executive Officer of the Domestic Abuse Shelter, Inc., serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, I can honestly say that in spite of a few healthy challenges experienced on the journey in the first 100 days in managing our transformation due to our newly created organizational structure, a true education on what all is involved with Web site development and trying to finesse updates and deletions required on our Web site, and determining how best to be responsive to the needs of our members while attracting new members, it remains a honor to serve each of you as your President.
Please take the time to review what has been accomplished for the good of the BPW Florida Federation and the workingwomen of Florida. This is only a snapshot and not meant to be an exhaustive list of all that has been achieved in the first 100 days. As a President for the people, each of you, as a member, can feel free to reach out to me with any questions regarding the contents of this report.
